Yoga Classes

The word Yoga means to unite. In these classes we will use the physical movement of Yoga and the breath to strengthen, support, and unite all aspects of what we experience and/or feel: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and water to class

Glastonbury classes are held at Saint Francis Care, 31 Sycamore Street, Community Room

Gentle Yoga - Monday evenings

This class includes gentle yoga postures with modifications as needed to support your body including awareness of your breathe, mindfulness/meditation, and relaxation. It is designed to relax your mind, revitalize your body and reduce stress and sometimes even minor discomfort. It is appropriate for all experience levels, including beginners, people with joint issues, recovering from minor health issues and/or pain, and experienced students who would like a slower paced class. Modifications of postures are offered to accomodate everyone.

Fee:  $48 for 4-week session; $15 for drop-ins

Glastonbury - Saint Francis Care, 31 Sycamore St, Mondays 6–7 p.m

Yoga All Levels - Tuesday

This class will include static and flowing postures to release stress and increase the flexibility of body and mind. Blending breath, movement, and awareness will help to relax your mind and strengthen your body. This class is suitable for students of all levels of experience. See how yoga can help to build your strength, flexibility, focus, and stamina. Students must be able to get up and down from floor.

Fee: no charge if member of Fitness Center, $5 drop-in without membership
